Beautiful building with bags of character. The breakfast room was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful pastries as well as the good quality coffee, eggs, variety of breads and yogurt with fruit. Coffee and tea making facilities were also available for self service throughout the day. This was an added bonus after a hard day sightseeing. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect for us. We could walk everywhere that we wanted to explore and there were many restaurants and bars close by to choose from. For those that enjoy wine, a self service dispenser is situated in the reception area for ‘happy hour’ between 5-7pm.

There was insufficient storage for clothing in our room and we needed to live out of our suitcases during the stay. We found our bed to be a bit uncomfortable and with an existing back injury, not very supportive. No safe in the room. Having said that, if we ever visited Montreal again, we would stay again, as the staff made up for the negative aspects.

We liked this motel. It was small, in that it only has 25 or so rooms, it was one story and most of the rooms were away from the street though there are a few that face. It has a green / park like space which adds to the quietness. The room was newly and tastefully renovated and they had coin operated laundry which we used as we travel light being on a motorcycle. The exterior looks older but don’t judge this motel by its cover. It was great value. We liked that we park right outside of our room and it was only one floor so no one above to make noise. We would stay again.

Sweet room in a charming old building. Five minute walk to the metro and also a very short walk to nice restaurants. Parking available for an extra cost. Easy check in. We arrived late and the self check in instructions were very clear.

Lovely colonial B&B - friendly welcome from John and extremely comfortable room with an enormous bed. Niagara-on-the-lake is our go back to place every time we go to Canada- wonderful place!

Our stay at The Cottages was wonderful! Loved the floor plan, both bedroom and bathrooms were lovely. So was kitchen, living area and balcony.

The lighting in the living room could have been brighter. Becasue of the overhang which makes for a wonderful covered sundeck/balcony, the natural light coming inside is restricted. Brighter lightbulbs would be an easy solution.
