Location is brilliant and the area like beautiful.
Got an upgrade next to reception which was highly appreciated bringing a dog.
Restaurant food and wine experience was well balanced between quality and price.

We stayed there for a weak in the off season and had a wonderful time. I honestly do not know what could be improved. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the location is really nice and the SPA area great, I could imagine though that the latter could get a bit crowded, if the hotel is really fully booked.
Spacious rooms with balcony, free Wi-Fi access and e-bikes (upon request, with extra charges) await you at this family-run hotel in Feldberg Altglashütten. Relax in the spa area with indoor pool.

We had a beautiful and comfortable room that looked out on the St. Blasien Dom (Cathedral). The bakery below provided a tasty continental breakfast (the bread rolls were AMAZING). The proprietors were hospitable, communicative, and helpful with suggestions on where to eat and hike.

The place is pretty good to rest and enjoy some time with nature. There are many small and beautiful villages around which are easily accessed by car. I am not sure about the public transport options, but definetly I recommend a car to better explore the area.
The options of restaurants and supermarket are limited in some places but all the restaurants I visited had very good services.
I recommend this beautiful area for relax and be in contact with nature.

This is a good area to visit if you're walking or riding bikes since there are plenty of trails in the area. There are three restaurants in the village and it's easy to get to other places (i.e. St. Blasien).
Menzenschwand is a quiet, pretty alpine village surrounded by stunning pine covered mountains. The hotel is a gem, clean, comfortable, fantastic staff and good food af a great price - what's not to love. We were made to feel extremelly welcome. Our host's spoken english was better than our german so communication was not an issue. it is a great base to tour the Black Forest (yes there is gateaux). There is no pool at the hotel, but lake Titisee and Lake Schlusee "beach" resorts are a short drive away.
Staff was very friendly. Even though the rooms have old furniture, rooms were very clean. The breakfast has everything you need. I was surprised about the rather "bad" review on booking.com as I think that despite that old furniture, the hotel itself offers everything you need. Also, the terrace has a good vibe for dinner or to have a few drinks with a view.
The hotel is near the edge of town. The owners were friendly and had a standard breakfast consisting of rolls, bread and cereal, OJ, coffee, etc. The room was in very good condition and looked almost new; very clean room. The price was reasonable and there are many walking trails that start in the village.
Charming family-run hotel in a beautiful, peaceful Black Forest town. The managers & staff are exceedingly warm & friendly. Breakfast and dinner quite good. Rooms comfortable and clean. You can hike up to the Herzoghorn, one of the best views in Germany, from the front door. Definitely recommended!
Very nice location, a bit aside the main road. You can hike and explore surroundings because everywhere you can enjoy nature. Also not far from the apartment we found markets and a beautiful lake (by you can get it by car). Hotel's owners very hospitality people
My family stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and it was very enjoyable. We got a new apartment equipped with everything you need. We were really pleasantly surprised and would love to come back
The owners, Renata and Peter, are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner are very good and well served.
Very nice hotel, spacious room and nice location.
A must to stay .
Delightful hotel - very comfortable and hospitable with excellent dinner and breakfast. We arrived by bicycle and were made to feel very welcome, with safe storage for our bikes.
