Lovely resort. Good beaches with fine sand and clear water.
Lovely resort. Good beaches with fine sand and clear water. Nice cliff walks with wonderful scenery. Plenty of restaurants to choose from with very reasonable prices. Good connection to other resorts for day trips mainly by train or local bus.
Went to climb the rock and only went half way as found the rocks were slippery and as mentioned you do need walking boots and not just trainers as we tried to do.

Calpe was lovely, plenty of bars and restaurants.
Calpe was lovely, plenty of bars and restaurants. We had our Maltese pooch with us and he was made very welcome.
Plenty of lovely walks around, beautiful scenery, you need good comfortable shoes. We stayed in the Old Town, this was interesting and pretty. Shout out to a fabulous restaurant: El Santo in the old town, made us very welcome and lovely food. We found Calpe to be extremely clean and friendly. :)

We enjoy walking and there were so many places to walk to.
We enjoy walking and there were so many places to walk to. Les Bassetes has a lovely cafe/bar. The old town is great to walk around as is the port area.
Playa del Arenal-Bol seems to get mentioned a lot in articles on Calp but we enjoyed Platja de la Fossa. This is the "other side" of Ifach and has many cafes and shops.
And then of course there is Ifach itself. I recommend booking a day to visit before you leave home.
The tram enabled us to visit Benidorm, Altea and Denia.

Calpe, nestled on the Costa Blanca, feels like it’s straight out of a postcard. Let me share our impressions:
Picturesque Views: The town boasts a dramatic rocky headland and palm-dotted beaches, all kissed by the Mediterranean waters. It’s a visual treat for anyone who appreciates natural beauty.
Beachside and Harbor Delights: We found the beachside and harbor area to be the prettiest part of Calpe. Strolling along the waterfront, watching boats sway, and feeling the sea breeze—it was idyllic.
Avoiding Crowded Center: However, we’re not fans of the crowded central area and bustling promenade. For us, the quieter corners near the beach and port held more appeal.
In summary, Calpe offers a delightful blend of ancient history, scenic wonders, and modern comforts. Whether you’re a nature lover or seeking relaxation, this coastal gem has something to offer.

Plenty of excellent shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Lovely walk to the Calpe rock. Easy car journey to Altea and Moraira.
Especially enjoyed walking uphill to the old town. Loved the restaurant "La Cena" and the "il Posit. Walking the sea front in Altea and up to the old church was super.

Calpe is the great place to come between December and March for as short as few days and as long as a month or so - especially if you're escaping from one of those dark, wet and cold places.
It was so nice to experience nice temperatures and see the big blue Spanish sky :)
It was amazing experience! I think one of the best ones! We are travelling a lot, and this house in Calpe (Cucarres) was extremely good, especially views and nature surrounding. We were 6 person and we had enough chairs and all kitchen utensils. There is a tram station near the village, so just in 8 mins you can get there walking from the house and then travel to Benidorm, Altea or just catch a bus to Calpe downtown.
The view of both the rock, port and Benidorm.
Spot on location! This unit is located closer to the better part of the beach in Calpe (Platja de la Fossa) and closer to a wide variety of higher quality of restaurants than Platja de Cantal Roig and further.
Sina, the host is a super star! She is extremely helpful and attended to emergencies faster than F1 racing speed. The owner is kind and thoughtful.
The location was superb, so close to the beach and amenities. The apartment was clean and very well equipped, especially the kitchen.
It was just my Father and I who stayed and we had a bedroom and a bathroom each. But a family of four, or a group of friends could stay here comfortably. The living/dining area is large and the balcony is quite spacious.
We could have stayed in Calpe for longer.
Beautiful old building renovated to a good standard. Our spacious room was clean and had a lovely balcony overlooking the street. Friendly staff. Located in the heart of Calpe old town with some great restaurants very close by. Good wifi. Although breakfast isn't offered in the hotel, they have an arrangement with a local nearby cafe, very reasonably priced.
It seems that the best days for this hotel are over. The apartment is clean, but the standard of equipment and furniture is average. The general standard leaves much to be desired. Hotel in a quiet part of Calpe. We had an apartment with a side sea view and huge balcon. Close to the city's main beach, restaurants and shops. Free hotel parking.
The location is fantastic! You have a great view of the Calpe Rock and the beaches all around the area are some of the best in Spain. The water is crystal clear and it so much fun to swim there. The hotel is nice and clean, but it isn't fancy. We spent very little time in our room so this hotel was perfect. The price is was perfect.
Inside the property was clean and tidy and the layout of the villa lent itself to having a good family holiday.
The inside of the pool seemed clean and well tended.
Location was in a nice part of Calpe, although close to other properties we never felt over looked or impacted by the other villas.
Great location by calpe port, the apartment was very well equipped, oven, hob, washing machine, amazing views of the coastline and Benidorm. Newly refurbished clean and very tidy plus English satellite TV. Anouk was a great host, very helpful and not far away if needed.
THE ROOM IS PERFECT' COMFORTABLE, IMPRESSIVE, THE SHOWER IS AN EXPERIENCE. I THINK IT IS ONE OF THE 3 BEST HOTELS I HAVE STAYED EVER. THE BREAKFAST WAS SO GOOD , I AM VERY IMPRESSED FROM THIS HOTEL. THE BEST SERVICE IN THE DINING ROOM AND POOL.
The location of the hotel was perfect for everything Calpe has to offer .
The hotel is exceptionally clean, comfortable and spacious.
The breakfast was well presented, a massive variety and fresh , every day there was a change in options
Interhome staff in Calpe Office, friendly and efficient. Apartment terrace spacious. Apartment tastefully decorated, very clean, and beds very comfortable. Location by the beach, perfecto and the swimming pools wonderful.
Everything was perfect, clean and nice. Location right by the beach and nice pool area. The host was very friendly and accomomodating, the nicest of all we ever encountered while travelling in Spain of many times :-)
Good location, perfectly comfortable, clean and convenient hotel for the price. I am not surprised that it is popular. The staff were very helpful indeed. In its price category, I was pleasantly surprised.
The pool, the comfy beds, Air conditioning, having individual apartments for our large family to have their own space. Large balcony, plenty of seating. Nice plants and tidy garden. Great views of Calpe.
Super close to the super markets, old town, beach and bike hire. Amazing view of Calpe Rock. Lovely communal spaces where we could all hang out in a big group. And such good value for money! Thank you!
We went to Calpe to have a specific family vacation, Casa Oliana had those specifications and we enjoyed it greatly: Cozy home, private pool, barbecue and good location
I highly recommend it.
We stayed for one night. The apartment was in the BEST location. The staff were very friendly. The apartment was very clean. We have booked to stay there again. We loved it.
We stayed for a week and we love the amazing view from the balcony with everything that a family needs, close to all amenities that Calpe has to offered
