The property’s location, facilities and staff were all excellent. One reception staff member Augustin was especially helpful on a number of occasions, with help regarding our train travel booking, and great information about Tarragona places.
With a privileged position enjoying sea views and just 10 minutes' walk from the historic centre, this modern hotel has a fabulous breakfast and an outdoor swimming pool.

Perfect hotel for us, a 10 minute walk into the old town. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a pool and partial sea view room with a balcony. The pool looked lovely, but the weather wasn't swimming pool weather. Car parking in the hotel basement was 10euros a night, which was good value. Loved Tarragona, so if I came back I'd stay here again.

The hotel was basic but fantastically clean. It is perfectly located in the centre of Tarragona. Our concierge Xavier was absolutely fantastic. He couldn't do more for us. He should be running classes in Customer Services!!! We will definitely return to Pigal when we are next in Tarragona. 100% recommend.

Good value
Tarragona is located on the sunny ‘Costa Daurada‘, in southern Catalonia. With an inheritance dating back to local tribes, Carthaginians and Romans, it is today a vibrant cultural and economic centre. Don’t miss the ‘human towers’ during Tarragona’s Santa Tecla Festival, but check your hotel availability for the area with enough time in advance.
The ‘human towers’ became so popular all across Catalonia that they can be visited throughout the year at the festival centre ‘Casa de la Festa’. Try the local seafood dishes in El Serrallo fishing district, and don’t miss the wines from the area.
The city was an important provincial capital during Roman times and includes several UNESCO World Heritage sites, with the seaside amphitheatre from the 2nd century being the most relevant. The 12th-century Cathedral of St Mary was built on the site of a former Jupiter temple and a Muslim mosque, and mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles.
Reus Airport is a few kilometres outside the city, while Barcelona El Prat Airport is 90 km away. Tarragona is located near Salou resort, and hotels in the area are also very popular. Whether you need a guest house in the historic centre or a resort on the beach, check out the Tarragona accommodation deals on Booking.com!

Tarragona was the Roman capital of the Iberian Peninsular so there are a lot of Roman remains, ruins etc. There are also lots of interesting shops and a great market. If you go to the market, look out for the clock at midday.

Tarragona is a beautiful historic city with a lovely coastal backdrop. There are cultural things to do in the town and seaside walks and paella/seafood restaurants by the beach so a great place to combine activities. We've visited three times and been enchanted by the cathedral, local eateries and the countryside. Great to visit with a car or with pets and worth exploring all along the coastline, wetlands to the south and of course more of Catalunya to the North including the famous Sitges en route to Barcelona.

It was easy to walk around and see the sights.
It was easy to walk around and see the sights. Tarragona was a very interesting city. I enjoyed seeing the Mediterranean Sea and the gardens near the old Roman Amphitheatre. I also enjoyed looking at the Roman Circus. We ate at the Forum Restaurant opposite hotel Place de la Font, in the old city square (i.e. Pllace de la Font) . The quality and service at the restaurant was outstanding.
Everything was wonderful, including the breakfasts at hotel de la Font, There is nothing that i would avoid.

Roman sites are interesting but not very well presented.
Roman sites are interesting but not very well presented. Cathedral area is very good. Archeology museum was closed for renovation and. so not much else to see. The town was rather run down and dirty. Parking was a nightmare. We went to Reus which was great - we did the Casa Modernista walk. Final day we went to Sitges and it was great but it was January. I'm sure it gets packed and crazy in summer.

I loved Tarragona.
I loved Tarragona. If you are interested in Roman and Medeival history this is the place for you. Many key Roman structures remain and with the medeival town built right on top of the Roman city, there is just so much history there. I was pleasantly surprised. Many excellent restaurants as well, lovely walking town too, including beachfront.

Loved the city, the sea front walk and beach, the old city, La Rambla, and the Roman ruins (especially the acqueduct). Great plazas, shops and restaurants and even a wine festival when we were there. Friendly locals. A relaxing, walkable town with lots of interesting history,
We like the cozy apartment very much. It's situated in the old town that is so quaint and nice to discover. So close to the new part as well. We did a few places in Spain, and Tarragona was our before last place before Barcelona. Nothing was missing in the home for a nice experience. It felt like everything was available to make us feel at home. Don't be fooled by the entrance. When you get in the apartment, there is everything one needs and more. The host, Francesc, was cordial and helpful.
Location to historical sights, old town, beach all within a 15 minute walk.. hotel was central in plaza corsini where there were lots of bars for sitting & people watching.. self check in was easy (we arrived late) free coffee from machine in reception.. rooms cleaned daily with a great rainfall shower.. all in all for what we paid for 4 nights was great value for money & Tarragona is well worth a visit & a bonus for early April was fab weather☀️
The location is incredible! We had street musicians serenading us below the balcony, on the Rambla Nova below. The amazing beach lookout point at the end of the avenue is less than a block away. The place is well appointed and comfortable, and two of the bedrooms have an ocean view. There's a grocery shop a block away, the amphitheater is around the corner. We fell in love with Tarragona. It was fantastic
Jorge and Maria's chalet has rustic charm and offers breath-taking views in a spotless setting. Their warm hospitality sets this place apart. The location balances tranquility and exploration, being a short walk from the beach and a brief drive from vibrant Tarragona. More than a vacation spot, this chalet is a home away from home, promising an unforgettable Spanish getaway. Highly recommended!
The hotel felt new, clean, lovely decor. Room was spacious and had great amenities (desk, big TV, minibar fridge). Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very very good and was kept well-stocked. Loved the self-serve espresso machine. Location was an easy walk to the Roman ruins. Neighborhood was lovely. Great view of the sea. Grounds were very serene and underground parking a bonus!
We chose the hotel for it's location but the train directly next to the hotel was never the one we needed. The hotel was always swamped with guests trying to check-in and not enough staff. The room was super hot and not that clean. The front desk was okay but the least cheerful or helpful compared to all the other hotels during our two week trip. Sorry but wouldn't recommend.
The staff was super kind, they helped us with lots of information. The hotel was always clean. The facilities met my needs, the kitchen was very well equipped.
The location is perfect, everything (the center, restaurants, sights, train station, beach) is within reach.
The wifi was not mentioned on the site, but they have fast wifi available in the rooms as well.
Nice terrace, comfortable couch. Spacious compared to a hotel. It was great having a washing machine in the unit.
Check-in was easy.
Internet was fast and reliable for working remotely.
Lots of good restaurants in a 5 minute radius.
The host was very responsive via Whatsapp.
The stairs helped work off the calories from the delicious restaurants nearby!
The location was perfect, direct in the main square in the old town city center, near everything: the main touristic points like the Roman circus, Amphitheatre, Cathedral, fantastic overview to the Mediterranean sea, shops, restaurants, bars and just 15 minutes to the main train station, and to the beaches. Is a small but cozy hotel.
Large room with sea view and direct sunlight. Balcony. Quiet (on the dates we chose). Spacious bathroom. Also, views over the coliseum. Rooftop bar 360 views. Great location for rambler, beach and old town. Close to Tarragona railway station (approx 10 minute walk).
The hotel is located near the beach, also a naturist beach at walking distance. Despite the hotel has a few years, our stay was very comfortable, with a nice balcony with a view of the ocean. There is also free parking on the premises. Staff was very friendly.
Great location; from the hotel you can walk to all the touristic places (Ramblas/Beach/Shopping Mall). Other places (Salou, Cambrils, Reus) are also nearby. Parking in a street further for just €1 a day! Low step in badtube.
Good AC, spacious room. Though hotel doesn't offer breakfast, we still got a little something from the staff. Also, free coffee and water in the lobby.
