Been staying at this location for a long time, close to downtown area with lots of local restaurants near by as well. Clean rooms with comfortable beds, good space for bathroom and shower area. Have to say both Troy and Gina were very welcoming and helpful with my stay there. Great size breakfast area with lots of seating but yet casual, out of the way of lobby traffic with a large TV to catch morning news. Still get a free paper!!

It is a beautiful old mansion and something different from a regular chain hotel. Staff were incredible - helpful and courteous. The breakfast was delicious. We were a 10 minute drive from downtown and would recommend. The hotel has recently been purchased and we learned about the history and while there are some small things that look a bit tired, there was no impact on our wonderful stay - I would definitely stay again!

Buffalo is definitely a formerly prosperous city with amazing old architecture and parks. We were there in mid-April so the weather was on the verge of Spring but still chilly. It had some quality museums and it was fun driving around the old industrial areas which they are trying to clean up and take advantage of the ols structures. The food scene is probably okay at night but they are still suffering from the pandemic as far as the lunch/brunch scene, at least as far as we could find. Water was all around as it is on Lake Erie and I know the summer it is probably busy with sailing and boating, etc. We were just too early. There were numerous empty marinas waiting for summer.

Buffalo is rich in history and architecture.
Buffalo is rich in history and architecture. The eating places downtown rival any that I have dined in all over the world. The reason for my visit was twofold. My friend and I spent a day at the Albright Knox Art museum. Like the cuisine, the gallery rivals many that I have visited. It was not so large though, that you could not do it justice in one day.
The shopping on day two at Walden Galleria gave us such delight! It was full of bargains.
Buffalo has something for everyone.

Do not miss the Frank Lloyd Wright house or the AKG (Albright Know Gallery art museum) or, of course, Niagara Falls. Walk around...beautiful neighborhoods of well kept large old homes and funky shops everywhere. Appealing shops, excellent restaurants, and affordable!

Buffalo has so much to offer.
Buffalo has so much to offer. From the waterfront with great restaurants, boat charters, and kayaking and canoeing, to the beautiful architecture and interesting museums, the whole city feels alive with wonder and intrigue. It has a little bit of everything - if you want to feel small amidst skyscrapers and disappear into the crowd at a show, downtown is your spot. If you want to escape to the country for a stroll through the woods or gallop across sprawling fields, head to East Aurora or Newfane. There is shopping everywhere - great unique boutiques with special one-of-a-kind treasures, high-end department stores with all the new stuff, restaurants with five-star offerings from around the world. Buffalo is definitely a world-class destination with hometown charm. Diverse and alive with life and opportunity, this All America City is definitely one to visit if you're looking for a special place.

We visited the Buffalo Zoo, which is the third oldest zoo in the country. It was under renovation but it was nice, small compared to other zoos I've been to. I loved that it was in an old neighborhood and easy to access. Lots of places to shop and great wings, pizza and craft beers. Of course if you are close to Buffalo you have to pop over to Niagara Falls which is always beautiful to see and a short 30 minute drive.

The location was great.
The location was great. Took us no longer than 20+ minutes to get anywhere. Lots of walkable restaurants. However, the beds were not queen size, they were maybe twin or double. Also the pool and hot tub areas were down when we went to use them. I'm not a fan of having to pay $15 a night just to park my car. Shouldn't that be part of the stay? $220 to stay in a room with small beds and no pool/hot tub and then more money to park. Nah, not right. We went to the Bills stadium. Casinos, put put, Niagara falls and wax museum.

The location is excellent - close to restaurants, coffee shops and the art gallery which was one of the main reasons for our visit. The self check-in and checkout is a different process for a hotel but instructions we received by email were very clear and we had no issues. Our room was tastefully decorated, the bed and pillows very comfortable and we liked the In-room coffee maker and complimentary granola bars.
Don’t let the just a little tired exterior fool you. This is a really nice hotel! The shower was amazing! The rooms were clean and the clerk made sure to direct us to the fun bars and restaurants downtown. It’s just a half mile from the Anchor Bar (home of the original Buffalo Chicken Wings.) Also try Gabriel’s Gate on Allen street. There’s a Tim Horton’s across the street for breakfast.
We booked a suite at the hotel, and asked on booking.com for room 209, unfortunately, it doesn’t appear our request made it through… So the first night we stayed in a very small, almost claustrophobic like suite. However, after talking with the front desk, the next day, they moved us to another room with an outside window, and was much better and much larger, So thanks to them for that.
Alex at the front desk was friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the area.
Room was clean, microwave and mini fridge provided.
The hotel restaurant/bar had great service and food was tasty.
The hotel was a block away from Allentown (allen street), lots of low key bars. We walked downtown to the Venue and Underground bar took 20 minutes.
Parking was included
Location would be great for the University and Museums. Far from downtown, and a bit hard to find the first time. But the place was incredible! Very interesting building. Friendly staff. Rooms aren't as tiny as in pictures. Nice bathroom. Fascinating building. We enjoyed the bar. Quite pricey, but cocktails were very good and the place was fun.
Such a charming hotel! Though I didn't see any staff on-site, the texts for entering the building and finding my room were helpful. My first floor room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable, and the snacks were a nice touch. I deeply appreciated the eco-friendly approach, too! I'm adding this to my list of favorite places to stay in Buffalo.
I liked the updated hotel. The room was very clean. At first they put us by a room with a crying kid and loud TV but we asked to move and they put us on the top floor away from everyone and it was very peaceful. Bed is comfortable and friendly people at front desk. Best coffee machine in lobby it makes lattes.
The breakfast was no more than some stale bagels and dry cereal. We had a WAY better breakfast at the Hilton in the way TO Buffalo and we paid half the cost. The WHOLE hotel is absolutely FILTHY and they do NOT come clean your room, even if you request it. Spend your money at ANY other hotel.
It was close to the airport. The room we stayed in had been recently renovated and had hardwood floors along with a kitchenette. Our room was decent, but other rooms looked tired and worn. The front desk staff and location were the best thing about this hotel.
The hotel used to be beautiful. It has a spacious restaurant (now closed) and bar (also now closed). Location is a little close to highway but convenient for downtown.
The room was really nice and clean, the room service did clean the room everyday and on time, the location of the hotel is amazing and it has free self-parking!
Location to where we were attending a wedding in downtown Buffalo was great. Friendly front desk service, gave a great recommendation on a lunch restaurant.
The staff was very polite, the hotel and parking were good, the breakfast was varied. The hotel is located close to the airport, great if you are traveling.
