First, just the design of the hotel is fantastic, you feel like in a place for explorers (and their families). Walking through corridors and discovering hidden passages is already an adventure. The attic with a glass roof and nice sitting area is a great place to relax. Second, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They will help you arrange your trips if you have not done so in advance. They also serve complimentary hot chocolate, tea and coffee any time of the day (next to the reception). Breakfast is really nice and will keep your energy up for quite some hours. Location is very convenient, just in the middle of the village, and you have an inside passage to the a great restaurant KROA. The supermarket (the only one in the town) is just few steps away. The place overall has a very nice atmosphere. I wish I could stay there longer.

Set in the Skjæringa area of Longyearbyen, Mary-Ann's Polarrigg is built with old rigs. Central Longyearbyen is between 6-8 minutes walk away and the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. Old and nice. Very warm place-not only the temperature but people are very nice

Hotelul Radisson Blu Polar este cel mai nordic hotel cu servicii complete din lume, situat în Longyearbyen. Perfectly located, nice and very helpful staff, delicious breakfast with the most amazing view. Sauna after a day outside was just a perfect addition and a restaurant/bar at the entrance of the hotel was great and convenient.

This hotel is situated on the island of Spitsbergen, in Norway’s Arctic Archipelago, Svalbard. It offers stunning views, free WiFi and free afternoon treats. Access to a relaxation area is also free. It was the most coziest hotel I have ever been🙂

Each room was assigned a shared bath (2 rooms sharing each bath) and there was an extra half bath available. Large kitchen/eating/lounge area. Each room had it's own mini-frig and assigned cupboard space for storage. In addition there were plenty of dishes and shared food areas. There is a dishwasher to ensure dishes are consistently washed. Everything well organized and friendly. Reasonable walk to downtown. Easy access via airport shuttle bus. In addition to the 10 rooms there are 2 apartments in the building.
