First of all the hostess was amazing. She gave us the option for a reception check-in or an automatic with a key dispenser. I love both options as sit always depends on when I intend to arrive at what is best. Second, I am not quickly blown away by a hotel/room, but this blew my mind. It was absolutely beautiful! The design, the details, the modern touches, the space and the comfort are astonishing. The place (I am guessing) has been renovated to live up to modern standards while maintaining the old touches of an era when a pharmacy was still a luxurious store. The doors are beautifully old with old locks, the building has cracking old floors while the bathroom has modern faucets and tiles, the Wi-Fi is incredibly fast and the couch is so soft and comfortable! I could stay there for days, reading a book. The bed is also incredibly soft, maybe too soft for some, but I slept lovely. All and all an incredible stay and we will be back for sure to stay longer. And yes, there was no coffee available when we were there, but then the bakery was literally 20 meters across the street where we got our daily cup of coffee for a good German price of 2,50 euros.

This family-run hotel is set in quiet countryside outside Wallenhorst, 3 minutes from the A1 motorway and 15 minutes from Osnabrück city centre. Wi-Fi is free in all parts of Hotel Lingemann. Everything. The staff were very accommodating; the room was much nicer (and larger) than expected; there were dining options located close by; very quiet and lovely small town; and there was plenty of parking. Loved staying at this property.

The See-and Sporthotel Ankum offers travelers a newly designed accommodation located by the lake. It was an excellent location due to a change of plans and last minute booking. It turned out to be much better than expected. The evening dinner at the restaurant was excellent--ambience, service and food! The breakfast was also outstanding, with fantastic service and a variety of food choices. There was a nice outdoor area and a lake to walk around with plenty of ducks. Free parking was also nice with large spaces to avoid being dinged by other car doors a big plus.
